For UK Landscapers

Patios, planting, hardscaping – tax handled.

Built for sole-trader landscapers running garden builds, maintenance rounds, and seasonal work. Track time, materials, photos, plant orders. Send invoices. File HMRC MTD.

If you're a sole trader landscaper,
some of this sounds familiar.

Graft was built specifically because none of the existing tools fit how a landscaper actually works.

×

Seasonal income, year-round tax

Big in summer, slow in winter. Cashflow uneven. Forgot to budget for January's tax bill.

×

Plant supplier receipts everywhere

Nursery, garden centre, online wholesale – receipts in three places, none reconciled to a job.

×

Maintenance vs build jobs mixed

Weekly maintenance round + one-off patio install. Profit per type? Unknown.

×

MTD from April 2026

Quarterly tax filings via recognised software. Spreadsheets banned.

What changes when you switch to Graft.

Designed for one person on a phone, on a job, with dirty hands. Not for an accountant in an office.

Recurring jobs for maintenance

Set up weekly mow rounds. Auto-invoice monthly. Time logged per visit.

/ 02

Quote big builds with photos

Before-and-after shots attached to the quote. Customer sees the vision.

Landscapers & Making Tax Digital.

Do landscapers need MTD software?

Sole trader landscapers earning over £50,000 must file quarterly digital updates from April 2026. Graft logs plant hire and materials on site and files the return.

What can a landscaper claim as expenses?

Plant and tool hire, materials, skip and tip fees, van and trailer costs, and PPE. Graft ties each cost to the job so your margins are real.

Is landscaping covered by CIS?

Hard landscaping and groundworks are usually within CIS; pure garden maintenance often isn't. Where CIS applies, Graft records the deduction at source for you.
